The women’s Italian Super Cup ends up in Roma’s trophy cabinet.
The Giallorossi team beat Juventus 4-3 on penalty kicks. In regulation time, former Milan captain Giacinti’s lead was answered by Boattin on a free kick. In extra time Roma wasted a sensational chance with Glionna but in the lottery from the penalty spot goalkeeper Caesar made the difference by neutralizing Girelli and Cantore’s goals.
It was the first time the Giallorossi won the Super Cup.
