MLS, Giorgio Chiellini also wins in America: LAFC champion
Chiellini and Bale also celebrating in MLS
Los Angeles FC have won the MLS title. The very final, played at California Stadium, against the Philadelphia Union is full of twists and turns. After the classic 90 minutes, the match locked at 2-2. It goes to overtime where Elliott scores the 3-2 for Philadelphia. It seems over but Bale, subbing in, finds the equalizer in the second overtime recovery. It goes to penalties where the Los Angeles men come out on top, thanks to goalkeeper McCarthy (who entered in the game and in his second appearance in a LAFC jersey).
For Los Angeles FC it was the first title in its history. Chiellini (on the bench in the final), despite a suboptimal physical condition and few matches played, also managed to win the MLS title, yet another masterpiece of an extraordinary career.
