MotoGp, VR46: Marini and Bezzecchi unleashed in Valencia

The two drivers of Valentino Rossi’s team shine in testing

Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi shined in the MotoGp tests in Valencia. The two Mooney VR46 Racing Team riders snatched the first and third fastest times on their Ducati Desmosedici GP22s.

The best of all was Valentino Rossi’s brother: “A good day of testing: positive both for the lap time – I even managed to improve on Saturday’s qualifying time – and in general for the atmosphere. We tried what we usually don’t have time to try during a race weekend, I took advantage of the day to ride, have fun and bond with the new team members. The pace was good, when I put then soft on the rear I expected a more significant improvement, instead only two tenths. Now we recover from the season finale and then head down until the first test in Malaysia.”

Thus the best rookie of 2022: “I am happy, I did not expect the third time. I like the new bike, I’m still not exactly what the differences are, but one thing I can definitely say. The step in braking is significant: I went out on the track, without making any changes, and I immediately solved all the problems I had during the weekend. Even at the engine level, I have good feelings, but obviously there are many aspects we need to work on. Without any doubt it is a competitive bike. Let’s work as best we can, especially from a physical point of view, during the break and come back loaded for Sepang.”
