Maio Meregalli and Yamaha look ahead
The 2022 MotoGP World Championship is over but for MotoGp riders and teams it’s not vacation time yet: in Valencia, in fact, the engines continue to rumble with official tests at the ‘Ricardo Tormo’ circuit that represent an appetizer of what we will see in the 2023 season. An important appointment as much for those who smiled at the end of the season, like Ducati, as for those, on the other hand, who closed with their heads down, Yamaha.
However, the team manager of the stable that belongs to the House of the Three Tuning Forks, Maio Meregalli, looks ahead and does not hide his optimism: “We have a fairly substantial work package – he told ‘Sky Sport’ -: a new engine, a new chassis and a new aerodynamic package. We will try our best to try everything, it will not be easy, but we are optimistic: we want the riders to give us as much feedback as possible.”
“We took a small step forward at the engine level,” added Meregalli. “We expect something more than we did in the Misano test.
