Napoli, 10th win in a row: Empoli knocked out with Lozano and Zielinski
Napoli bent with two goals in the second half as the Tuscans
Napoli continues its run in Serie A: Spalletti’s team scored its 10th consecutive league victory with a 2-0 win at the Maradona Stadium against Empoli.
The Azzurri prevailed with two goals in the second half, after a more complicated than expected first half where the most dangerous was Raspadori. In the second half came the advantage of the hosts: in the 67th minute contact between Marin and Osimhen in the box and for Pairetto it was a penalty, albeit amid protests from the Tuscan players. From the penalty spot Lozano did not miss.
Luperto’s red for double yellow crushed Empoli’s hopes of a comeback, and in the 88th minute they conceded 2-0 by Zielinski, who scored on Lozano’s assist.
Thanks to this result, Napoli flies to 38 points, temporarily +9 over second-placed Milan.
