Cantù, Baldi Rossi is honest: “It was our best game so far.”
Meo Sacchetti’s men have won five of the first six
To the official channels of the Brianza club, Cantù’s long player Filippo Baldi Rossi spoke about the victory on the last day of the championship over Piacenza as the best game in the season of Meo Sacchetti’s men.
The former Virtus Bologna among others, was among the protagonists with 11 points scored.
“Definitely that of Piacenza was our best test so far at the defensive, team and communication levels, three factors that were asked of us by coach Meo Sacchetti. We approached the match very well defensively, which gave us great energy to score some good baskets in transition. The aggressiveness we put in the defensive phase gave the home team no breathing room. Piacenza thus found itself forced to force difficult shots and waste a lot of energy, while we played with fluency on offense, managing to get everyone involved,” the player explained.
“On a personal level, I’m happy with how I was able to ignite our stretch in the first quarter with some very good shooting percentages. That said, I want to applaud my teammates, because we were great at executing to the letter what Meo asked of us. Everyone gave rhythm and intensity to the match. Yes, in the first quarter it was my turn, but each of us did our own,” concluded Baldi Rossi.
