Inter looks to the future for the midfield
Inter moves for Carlos Jonas Alcaraz
As confirmed by his own agent, Inter had already initiated contacts last summer for Carlos Jonas Alcaraz, Racing’s 2002 Argentine midfielder, but had then stalled in the face of the 25 million euro rescission clause inserted in the contract that binds him to his club.
However, The Argentine player’s prosecutor has recently stated that the player’s valuation is around 15 million euros, and so the Nerazzurri management is ready to return to the attack, given that the Argentine championship has just ended and faded from the club in which Alcaraz plays only on the last day. Moreover, the good relations between Inter and Racing are well known thanks to the negotiation that brought Lautaro Martinez to wear the Nerazzurri jersey, but also to the fact that Diego Milito, hero of the Beneamata’s Triplete, has been a flag for Racing.
Voted one of the best Under-20 midfielders in the Argentine Superliga, Alcaraz is an all-around midfielder, tough in contrasts and skilled in insertions – he even gets to score with his head -, he would be the ideal profile to fill the role of vice-Barella.
