BMW gloats: “Valentino Rossi, what a bonus…”
BMW motorsport chief Roos eager to see Valentino Rossi at work: ‘It’s a win-win situation for us’
BMW motorsport chief Andreas Roos is looking forward to seeing Valentino Rossi behind the wheel of one of the German automaker’s GT3 cars, which from 2023 will take will provide cars to the WRT team in place of Audi.
“For us this is a nice bonus on the sidelines of the WRT agreement. Valentino has shown to increase performance little by little. And when you consider the fact that he has gone straight from two-wheelers to first-class racing vehicles, he has already put in a very good season. It’s a win-win situation for all of us,” are the words reported by Speedweek.
Roos does not see Rossi as a mere marketing tool: “He wants to race and be fast, so hopefully our M4 will be fast enough for him to have some good races.”
