New twist in Domenico Criscito’s career
New twist for former Genoa captain
Just five months after joining Toronto FC, where Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi also play, Domenico Criscito is set to bid farewell to the Canadian club.
This is yet another turning point in the career of the defender, who in the summer had left Genoa, of which he was captain, after the Grifone’s relegation to Serie B.
Now Criscito will have to consider two options for his future: the choice is between continuing to play again, perhaps making a return to Italy, or whether to opt for a future as a coach, starting courses at Coverciano right away.
The Campania-born player had said goodbye to Genoa at the end of last season, thus ending his fourth spell in the Rossoblù jersey, which he had returned to in 2018 after an experience in Russia, at Zenit St. Petersburg.
