Genoa ponders Blessin, some call for Gasperini’s return
In Genoa, some are calling for Gasperini’s return
Two draws at Marassi (against Brescia and Como), interspersed with the knockout in Reggio Calabria, have fueled Genoa’s doubts at the level of technical leadership: Alexander Blessin is now at risk and the club itself is analyzing the situation to figure out what to do in the immediate future.
The Rossoblù environment is hot and even a group of fans has had its say in a particular way: on Wednesday afternoon, in fact, a banner appeared on the Ponte Monumentale in Genoa with an unequivocal inscription: “Take back Gasp.” A nostalgic request, although impossible to fulfill at least in the immediate term.
The current Atalanta coach coached the Rossoblù in two different periods: from 2006 to November 2010 (winning promotion to A at the end of his first season in the Ligurian capital and fifth place in 2008/09) as well as from October 2013 until the end of the 2015/16 season, with sixth place in 2015 as his best result.
