Roberto Martinez thanks Inter

Belgium’s head coach Roberto Martinez, interviewed by the Spaniards of ‘AS’, clarified the situation regarding Romelu Lukaku’s injury, who is now on his way back, just days before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

“The change of club was not a problem. The problem was the first muscle injury he had in his career. He is a powerful player who pushes his physical capabilities to the limit. It was the first injury he had, it was a difficult period. When you don’t know how your body will react, everything is difficult,” explained the ‘Red Devils’ coach.

“We have worked well with the Inter medical staff and we hope he will have a good World Cup. Now we just want him to reach 100 percent,” Martinez continued, also emphasizing the work of the Milanese club.
