Farewell to Gerhard Rodax
Austria is in shock over the death of Gerhard Rodax.
The former striker at age 57 lost his life in a tragic accident in Traiskirchen, twenty kilometers from Vienna.
Rodax in carreria won the Silver Shoe with Admira Wacker thanks to 35 goals scored in the Austrian league, a haul that obviously earned him the title of top scorer, as well as a call-up from Atletico Madrid, where he played the following season.
With the national team jersey he was a protagonist at the World Cup in Italia ’90, where he also managed to score a goal.
