Charles Leclerc knows what Ferrari’s problem is
The Cavallino’s problem is clear.
Charles Leclerc analyzes Ferrari’s problems in Abu Dhabi at the end of Friday that saw him take to the track at Yas Marina completing the day in third place behind Max Verstappen and George Russell. Worth noting are the four and a half tenths remitted by the world champion’s Red Bull, a gap on which the Monegasque driver has an explanation.
“Our sessions here in Abu Dhabi have been good, overall,” Leclerc explained to Ferrari’s official channels. “However, we are suffering on the race pace, because we have quite pronounced tire degradation. However, this is a problem we already knew we would have to deal with.”
“The pace ahead of qualifying is good. The impression, however, is that our rivals are slightly ahead of us,” admitted Leclerc, who will have to beat Sergio Perez in Abu Dhabi to end the Formula 1 season in second place in the constructors’ standings. “We want to take advantage of tomorrow’s free practice to improve further and get the best result in qualifying,” concluded the Ferrari driver.
