Juve, Adrien Rabiot sends message on contract renewal
“The World Cup in Qatar will help me.”
From overt redundancy to pivot of the Bianconeri midfield. From a player practically already sold to Manchester United last summer to a pawn considered immovable for the future. From a player not called up for the previous Russia 2018 World Cup to an indispensable asset for coach Didier Deschamps. Adrien Rabiot, the Juve midfielder whose contract expires in 2023, has been taking revenge.
“It’s been just over four years, and it’s true: for me not to be here in Russia 2018 was a big disappointment,” Rabiot began from France’s training camp. “I worked so hard to be here in 2022, now I don’t take it as revenge, in fact I am grateful for everything that has happened since my return to the national team.”
“I don’t in any case see the World Cup as a turning point, but it can help me a lot. Contractually I’m in my last year at Juve, so the World Cup is something that can help me,” the ‘Duke’ concluded.
