A social message to say goodbye to the World Cup.

Nico Gonzalez will be forced to forgo the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Fiorentina forward is in fact struggling with an injury that will prevent him from taking part in the review due to a second-degree hamstring injury and has already returned home.

“Yesterday was a very sad day and very difficult to accept in my head, as I was left out of the World Cup due to an injury,” Gonzalez explained in a long post on Instagram, in which he is seen exulting in the Argentina jersey. “It is a dream that one has in one’s head since childhood, and when you are one step away from reaching it, everything collapses…. Despite this, I will not stop trying to achieve this dream that I have been chasing all my life.”

“Soccer gives many opportunities,” Gonzalez added, “and I have to let go of this one, which is so hard to accept. I will never give up though!!! I wish the best to this group, this family, for what is coming in which they will give everything inside the field to make all Argentines happy and seek what we want so much.”

“They deserve the best and today I will cheer as one more Argentine. Thank you to everyone who took a second to wish me strength in this difficult time, forza Argentina,” concluded Nico Gonzalez.
