Ducati also wins manufacturer’s title in Superbike

Endless celebrations for Ducati: after triumphs in MotoGp, the sports division of the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer rejoices at the double riders’ title-constructors’ title in Superbike as well. Already arithmetically certain of victory in the premier class of production derivatives, Alvaro Bautista contributed a fifth-place finish in Race 1 of the Australian round (won by Jonathan Rea on Kawasaki) to the conquest of the constructors’ world championship, his first in 11 years and 18th overall.

“After Alvaro Bautista’s victory in the World Superbike riders’ championship, being able to win the Constructors’ one as well is another reason for us to be proud,” Gigi Dall’Igna, general manager of Ducati Corse, told the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport.’ “It’s an important goal that repays the efforts made and the work done with commitment, passion and dedication by the men and women of Ducati Corse.

Ducati also celebrated, again after the first race of the Australian weekend, the dedicated team title, won by the Aruba.it Racing team.
