Rome: incoming Ola Solbakken

Chased already during the summer, Ola Solbakken, Norwegian striker of Bodo-Glimt, will become a Giallorossi player. According to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport, the class of ’98 is expected in the capital as early as Monday. Solbakken arrives at Roma on a zero-parameter deal and will sign a four-year contract with a salary of about €1 million plus bonuses. His contract with the Norwegian club expires in December, however, and it is therefore likely that until that time Bodo-Glimt will not release the player, given the less than idyllic relations with the capital club.

Solbakken, the author of 4 goals and 6 assists in the Eliteserien, is a candidate as an ideal reserve for Dybala or Zaniolo in Jose Mourino’s 3-4-2-1, acting as a trequartista behind central striker Abraham, but he could also play a full-band role as an outside midfielder, naturally with more defensive duties. Of course, his versatility can only please coach Moruinho, who is looking forward to welcoming and fitting in the Giallorossi’s new addition.
