Genoa, overtakes Inter in sprint for a jewel
Genoa has outbid Inter Milan for a defender
Only the officialdom separates Alan Matturro from Genoa. In fact, they are convinced in Uruguay that the 2004-born defender, on loan from Defensor Sporting, has already reached an agreement with the Ligurian club and will sign a four-year contract. The Grifone will shell out an amount, including bonuses, of 3.5 million euros into the Uruguayan club’s coffers to secure Matturro’s player card.
Inter Milan had also been interested in the South American jewel for some time, but they were overtaken by Genoa, which was able to insert itself in the negotiation and bring it to a swift conclusion. Matturro is expected in Italy as early as next week to undergo medical examinations, then becoming available starting in January. With the Defensor Sporting jersey Alan Matturro has collected 12 appearances, netting a goal and an assist.
