Walter Novellino pulls the ears of Genoa and Cagliari

Reached by TMW, Walter Novellino analyzed the Serie B championship this way: “Angelozzi deserves compliments, he has built an important team. I am a bit disappointed with Genoa. So is Cagliari. They are teams built to win the championship. Look at Benevento as well, they are struggling. I’m amazed at Palermo’s performance, but Corini knows B and the team has a top center forward. The Rosanero lacks something in defense.”

Novellino also coached Sampdoria in his career: “The blucerchiati cannot stay in that position in the standings. I am convinced that they are a team built to do a better championship. Screaming is not enough, the right spirit is missing. Stankovic is not doing badly on the character level, but something is missing on the tactical level.”

Closing remark dedicated to the national team: “Those who played against Austria lacked motivation, it is obvious, but we cannot always blame other factors. If Mancini gives the chance to play in the national team, you can’t not play it to the maximum. However, I remain of the opinion that the coach should be praised for what he has done and what he is doing with the Azzurri.”
