Belgium-Canada: the probable formations
The probable formations
Belgium is set to make its World Cup debut in a match scheduled for the Italian evening of Wednesday, Nov. 23, that will see Roberto Martinez’s men oppose Canada.
The Red Devils will have to lean mainly on Kevin De Bruyne, given the absence of Romelu Lukaku, who will most likely miss against Morocco as well. In place of the Inter number 90 will play Michy Batshuayi.
The Canadians, who are returning to the World Cup after 36 years, will take the field with an offensive 3-4-3. The two spearheads are Bayern Munich player Alphonso Davies and Lille forward Jonathan David.
Probable formations
BELGIUM (3-4-2-1): Courtois; Dendocker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen; Meunier, Tielemans, Witsel, Carrasco; De Bruyne, Hazard E.; Batshuayi. Ct. Martinez.
CANADA (3-4-3): Borjan; Johnston, Vitoria, Miller; Laryea, Hutchinson, Eustaquio, Davies; Buchanan, David, Larin. Ct. Herdman.
