Inter, Neuville open to Marcus Thuram’s transfer

Borussia Moenchengladbach assistant coach Oliver Neuville spoke to the microphones of Radio Sportiva: “Marcus is having a great season with lots of goals. He has a contract until the end of the season and I think it will be difficult for him to stay at Borussia M’gladbach. Of course I hope so, but we have to be realistic: if he continues like this he will have so many offers especially from England and Spain and if he continues like this there is little hope that he will stay.
“An experience in Italy? Inter were already looking for him two years ago, Thuram can play both on the flank and as a center forward as he has been doing for the past two years and I am convinced he would do well in Italy as well,” Neuville concluded.
As pointed out by Neuville, Inter has been following the French jewel for some time and would be willing to offer a significant sum as early as the January market to beat competition from Juventus and Bayern Munich among others.
