Uruguay-South Korea, the probable formations
Likely lineups
Urugay and South Korea make their World Cup debut in Qatar in the second match of the day, valid for Group H, scheduled for 2 p.m. Italian time at Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.
The historic coach Tabarez has been replaced by Alonso who deploys a classic 4-4-2 with old and new acquaintances of Italian soccer: at the center of the defense there is Godin, former Inter and Cagliari, while the left fullback will be Olivera, on the strength of Napoli, in the median we find Lazio’s Vecino and former Juve Bentancur. In attack next to the flag-bearer Suarez will be newcomer Nuñez.
Paulo Bento also opts for a 4-4-2. The entire defensive line, including the goalkeeper, bears Kim’s name: the most famous is Kim Min-Jae, a current Napoli player. The real star of the Korean national team is undoubtedly Tottenham striker Son Heung-min, who plays in tandem with Woo-Yeong Jeong.
