Netherlands-Ecuador: the probable formations

Likely lineups

Netherlands and Ecuador will compete, at 5 p.m. Italian time, for the top spot in Group A at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Both Van Gaal’s and Alfaro’s men emerged victorious from their debut matches against Senegal and Qatar, respectively. They will thus have a chance to gain passage to the round of 16 with one round to spare.

There will be few lineup changes for the two national teams, which convinced in the first match played. The Orange team will see the return as a starter of Memphis Depay, who was initially sidelined against the Africans due to a physical problem. Ecuador, on the other hand, will repropose the 4-4-2 seen against the hosts: there should be no changes in the interpreters.
