MotoGp, Pol Espargaró: “They lost time with me.”
Spanish rider bitter about experience at Honda: “I feel like they wasted their time.”
Spanish centaur Pol Espargaró will return to KTM next season after a disastrous two-year stint at Honda as Marc Marquez’s partner: “I think what I’m leaving is wrong, I really do, but it’s their way of doing things. I’m nobody to tell them how to do things, I’m just a rider who rides motorcycles, that’s all.”
Espargaró mostly complained about Honda’s decision to stop supplying him with new parts, “It’s hard to accept, but it’s not my brand, it’s not my bike, I’m just a guy they pay to ride a bike, that’s all. I do what they want me to do. I certainly don’t like it, and I feel like they wasted their time and their money on me, because I could have been motivated and full throttle, getting results and enjoying things more. But in the end, I don’t know if they don’t because they don’t want to or because they can’t, so that’s where I am now,” are the words reported by Motorsport.
“I am sad about this situation because I think I have a huge potential. I was one of the best in the pre-season and also in Qatar, but from there the results started to drop because normal problems appeared.”
