F1, Mattia Binotto in high demand: 4 teams interested after farewell to Ferrari
According to rumors, the now former Ferrari team principal will remain in Formula 1.
Mattia Binotto’s story at Ferrari is over after 28 years: the Maranello-based stable has accepted the resignation of the team principal, who, according to rumors, may move to another team in Formula 1.
The British press reports that the Lausanne-born engineer has already received some inquiries from three racing teams, among them Alpine and Aston Martin, and also from a top team (unspecified), which has reportedly asked about his future.
Binotto after a long apprenticeship at Ferrari was appointed team principal in 2019: in four years the Scuderia under his leadership won 7 races in 82 Grands Prix. Among in possible replacements, in pole remains Frederic Vasseur, current boss of Alfa Romeo Sauber.
