Verstappen crowns Alonso

Max Verstappen, featured in the documentary “Picture perfect” aired on the Viaplay channel gave an interview in which he also talked about his friend and rival Fernando Alonso.

The Red Bull driver confessed that the Asturian is one of his best friends in Formula One: “One of them. Absolutely yes, he still knows how to accelerate. We are from different generations, in fact he drives against my father (Jos). Sometimes we laugh about that too. At his age he is still a real fanatic and that’s why he participates in all this. He is one of the best drivers in history.”

The two-time world champion also commented on Daniel Ricciardo’s return as a reserve driver in the Austrian team, “It will always be fun. What is certain is that we will have a lot of laughs. I’ve always held him in high regard. On the track, we were sometimes very close, but, in the end, we had fun and we had a lot of fun.”
