Likely lineups

Last match for hosts Qatar, already eliminated from the World Cup in their first ever participation. Awaiting them will be the Netherlands, which with a win would be certain to fly to the round of 16, regardless of the result of Ecuador-Senegal, the other Group A match. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. Italian time at Al Bayt Stadium.

Van Gaal returns to deploy De Ligt in defense, with Van Dijk in the center and Aké on the left. On the midfield line, confirmation for Inter Dumfries on the right flank and Atalanta’s Koopmeiners in the direction. Up front Depay and Janssen should have space with Gakpo, author of two goals already, behind them.

Qatar responds with a 5-3-2 already seen with Senegal. The only change should be in attack with the inclusion of Muntari, in goal in the last game, in place of Almoez Ali, to flank the other forward Afif. Midfield confirmed although Hatem will undermine Madibo.

Likely lineups.

HOLLAND (3-4-1-2): Noppert; De Ligt, Van Dijk, Aké; Dumfries, Koopmeiners, F. de Jong, Blind; Gakpo; Depay, Janssen. All. van Gaal

QATAR (5-3-2): Barsham; I. Mohammed, Pedro Miguel, Khoukhi, A. Hassan, H. Ahmed; Boudiaf, Madibo, Al-Haydos; Afif, Muntari. All. Sanchez
