Ferrari, Hakkinen: “Leclerc had nothing to do with it.”
Former Formula 1 driver: “Binotto’s farewell is very sad.”
Two-time Formula 1 world champion Mika Hakkinen in an interview with Sky Sports said he was skeptical about Charles Leclerc’s possible involvement regarding Mattia Binotto’s farewell to Ferrari.
“When I was racing, I always thought that you don’t need to figure out whether you like someone or not, but rather to figure out how good they are, how committed they are-that’s what really matters. It’s not important whether you like someone or not, it’s not something that interferes with success. You have to work in the team, respect people’s talents, their knowledge and commitment. So I doubt that there is any truth in these rumors.”
Hakkinen then called Binotto’s farewell “a very sad thing, because I think he is a great personality and a great man.”
