Having archived the tennis season with Novak Djokovic’s triumph at the ATP Finals and Canada’s historic first win in the Davis Cup, it is time to think about the new season. In particular, the schedule for the first event of the new season has been published: the United Cup, a new team competition involving the best athletes from both the men’s (ATP, ed.) and women’s (WTA, ed.) circuits.

The Azzurri have been placed in Group E and will compete against Brazil and Norway. Opening the dances will be Martina Trevisan, engaged in the first match of the day against Beatriz Hadda Maia on Thursday, December 29. Next will be Lorenzo Musetti’s turn against Brazil’s Felipe Meligeni Alves. The next day will be the turn of Matteo Berrettini who will face Thiago Monteiro and Lucia Bronzetti opposing Laura Pigossi. The mixed doubles will close the challenge between Italy and Brazil.
