Japan is the team that finished in first place in Group E at the round of 16 of World Cup 2022.
In fact, the Japanese beat Spain 2-1 in a comeback, who immediately unlocked the result with Morata giving the impression that they could manage the match. However, Doan and Tanaka turned everything around in the opening half, taking qualification to the round of 16 (against Croatia). The Red Furies despite losing have passed the round and will face Morocco.
Also in the news, however, is the elimination, the second consecutive in the group stage, of Germany, doomed by goal difference. The 4-2 victory over Costa Rica in the other match in Group E was useless.
