Lecce looks to Rome for midfield
While waiting for the league to resume, Lecce resumed training in Acaya after the players were given two weeks off. At the same time, however, the Salento management is also working to gift a market coup in the winter session. In particular, the Giallorossi club reportedly has its eye on Edoardo Bove, a Roma midfielder born in 2002.
The Giallorossi player is getting closer to the Apulian club, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. The parties have reportedly already agreed on the basis of a loan with right of redemption, now all that is missing is the consent of coach Jose Mourinho who wants to secure a replacement that could be represented by Georginio Wijnaldum, should he recover from injury.
Bove has so far collected only five league appearances and five in the Europa League but all as a substitute, often in the final minutes. In Lecce he would surely find more space as well as represent an important alternative for coach Marco Baroni.
