Davide Formolo’s heartbreaking message

Two days after the tragic road accident in which Davide Rebellin lost his life, Davide Formolo entrusted his Instagram profile with a message for his friend’s passing.

“More than 24 hours to figure out what’s going on… and nothing, I’m speechless, I just want to do something to help us remember you,” the UAE Emirates Team rider wrote in his Instagram stories.

“Up here, on the Col de Castillon, above your home, between the sky and your beloved mountains where you liked to spend several hours each day riding your bike, I want to bring a symbol in your honor, a bicycle wheel, with a little light in your memory, yours and all the victims of the road,” Formolo continued.

“If you ever pass this way one day, and want to leave him something, I’m sure he will appreciate it,” concluded Formolo, who on Friday, December 2, kept his promise, posting a photo of the wheel with the inscription ‘David forever.
