Jannik Sinner, manager speaks out on South Tyrolean’s future
Lawrence Frankopan gets out of line on Jannik Sinner
Ending a season made up of ups and downs and affected by nagging physical problems, Jannik Sinner is focusing on getting back to his best in 2023, to return to winning major tournaments (in 2022 he recorded one success, in Umag in late July, in the final against Carlos Alcaraz) and regain the top 10.
Also speaking about the San Candido native’s future was Lawrence Frankopan, founder of the StarWing Sport Management agency, which represents Sinner himself, among others: “I’m trying to help Jannik become the best player he can be,” he told ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport.’ “And often the balance is very delicate: you have to try to build a business around him but without taking energy away from the on-court project. It’s a long journey, and like any journey it has its ups and downs.”
Frankopan did not fail to sing Sinner’s praises, explaining that he also expects a lot in the immediate future because of the blue tennis player’s human characteristics. “It’s not just about hitting balls and lifting trophies,” he said. “It’s humility and the ability to please people that make the difference.
