Cagliari, Liverani doesn’t hide more than one regret
Fifth consecutive draw for Cagliari
Fabio Liverani said he was far from satisfied, speaking in the press room after the 1-1 draw against Parma — Camara’s goal for the Ducali, Pavoletti’s equalizer — in one of two Serie B matches scheduled for Saturday (in the Other, Venezia defeated Ternana 2-1 at home).
“We faced a quality team with very good dribbling, in the first half they put us in trouble,” Liverani said. “They had chances but we also had our chances, like Nandez’s. In the second half we created many chances and found the equalizer on one of their mistakes. This championship is like that, you always fight and it is a complex season. Let’s take the point and already look forward to the Terni match that comes right away.”
“My goal is to turn whistles into applause and I am sure that our people will immediately give us support when victory comes,” he added, “I have great respect for the fans and their love for this jersey. We have the whole round to change gear and four more matches where we have to give our best. Something to recriminate about some matches there is, they could have gone better in terms of results, but I don’t look back. We have to do better in the two phases and hope that injuries will affect us less.”
