LeBron James better than ‘Magic’ Johnson: “It means so much to me.”
Yet another record in the extraordinary career of the ‘Chosen One’
For once he let others do the scoring battle, but he did not shy away from contributing to his Los Angeles Lakers’ fine victory on the court of the Milwaukee Bucks. LeBron James in the night’s contest against Antetokounmpo and Co. put up ‘only’ 28 points, surpassed in this statistic by teammate Anthony Daviss, who put up 44, and by the formidable Greek himself, who finished with a forty.
The evening at the Fiserv Forum, however, saw the ‘King’ hand out an impressive 11 assists, raising his career tally to the stratospheric figure of 10,144 and surpassing, thanks to the last game’s numbers, a certain ‘Magic’ Johnson on the all-time list of players with the most winning passes.
“To have passed ‘Magic’ Johnson in sixth place on the assists list means so much to me-I’ve always admired him for his style of play, the way he makes everyone feel involved, and his joy in making his teammates better,” Lebron said after the game.
