Jorge Lorenzo: “With this Ducati I would still be in MotoGp.”
Jorge Lorenzo: “I would have won the World Championship right away the first year.”
Jorge Lorenzo in an interview with Motorbike Magazine praised Ducati’s growth: “If I had the current bike in 2017, as complete as it is, I would have already won races and even the World Championship in the first year. And I could still be active, just with Ducati.”
“The Ducati I rode didn’t turn well in the corners, and I had to adapt my riding style to be competitive. Maybe that cost me the renewal. Me and Bagnaia? I see that not only him but also Quartararo and Jorge Martin have things in common with my style.”
Francesco, aka ‘Pecco,’ Bagnaia after winning the Moto2 world championship in 2018 with Sky Racing Team VR46, will make his MotoGp debut in 2019 riding the Ducati of Team Pramac Racing. In September 2020, he scored his first podium in the top MotoGP category at Misano. The following year he switched to the official Ducati team and finished the championship in second place, behind the French Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo.
