Pelé’s health condition is one of the most debated media topics. Through Brazilian broadcaster O Globo, Kely and Flavia Nascimento, daughters of O Rei, reassured everyone about their father’s condition.

“He is sick, he is elderly, but at the moment he is hospitalized for a lung infection. And when he gets better, he will go home. He is not dying in the hospital,” Kely’s words. “He is not in the intensive care unit, he is in a normal room. He is not at risk, he is being treated,” added his sister Flavia. Hospitalized since last Tuesday, O Rei is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for colon cancer.
