Valentino Rossi-Ducati, pact of steel: Uccio freezes Yamaha
The future of the VR46 team remains under discussion in MotoGp: “We will respect the contract with Ducati.”
The future of the VR46 team remains at the center of debate in MotoGp after the words of Fim president Jorge Viegas, who had spoken of a transfer from Ducati to Yamaha of Valentino Rossi’s team from 2024.
However, VR46 has signed a contract with Ducati that expires at the end of 2024, which the team wants to respect. “First they said we would have Yamaha in 2023, now in 2024…,” joked team manager Alessio ‘Uccio’ Salucci, Valentino Rossi’s right-hand man.
“I don’t know why Viegas said this, but I repeat for the umpteenth time that we have a contract with Ducati until 2024, with the possibility of renewal. We will respect it and see in 2025 what happens. I hope the Yamaha will be competitive, but it is not a desire related to the VR46 team. With Ducati of we are well.”
