Australian Open: ten Italians on the assault, Djokovic is there
The Australian Open entry list has been made official.
Novak Djokovic officially returns to the Australian Open: the entry list for the Melbourne Slam, scheduled for early next season, has been announced.
At number one in the seeding will be Carlos Alcaraz, followed by compatriot Rafael Nadal, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas and precisely Djokovic, returning to Australia after last season’s Odyssey. Also in the top ten are Russians Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev, Canadian Felix Aguer-Aliassime and Pole Hubert Hurkacz. There is Zverev, in 12th place.
There are five Italians in the main draw: Jannik Sinner, Matteo Berrettini, Lorenzo Musetti, Lorenzo Sonego and Fabio Fognini. All other Azzurri will start from qualifying.
In the women’s draw ahead of all is Iga Swiatek. Five Azzurre in the main draw: Martina Trevisan, Lucia Bronzetti, Jasmine Paolini, Elisabetta Cocciaretto and Camila Giorgi.
