Lorenzo Sonego tells the difference between Nadal and Djokovic

Lorenzo Sonego gave a long interview to ‘La Repubblica’ in which he covered several topics, including the difference between the two champions Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

The Piedmontese tennis player returned to his fantastic performance in the Davis Cup against Canada: “The best challenge was the one over Shapovalov, even though I played with a nagging inflammation in the tibial muscle caused by forced training after returning from the Maldives vacation. However, the match of a lifetime remains the 6-2 6-1 against Novak Djokovic a couple of years ago in Vienna.”

He then unveiled the difference between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal: “Rafael Nadal is a crazy example, he puts his best effort into every ball of every practice. Off the court, he is very approachable while remaining someone who gives little confidence. The opposite of Djokovic who on the other hand is very open; who knows, maybe it also helps that he speaks Italian.”

“Favorite tournament? I say the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome for the atmosphere in the stands. Then Wimbledon for its elegance that exudes history, but I also like the endless spaces of American tournaments, from Miami to Indian Wells,” Sonego concluded.
