2022 spectacular for Ducati

2022 was an extraordinary year for Ducati, which hopes to repeat itself next year, as explained well by Domenicali, the company’s ad: “Doing better than 2022 is not possible, but our target is to get as close as possible, or maybe repeat.”

Domenicali has a special request for Bagnaia, the current MotoGP World Champion: “Pecco with the number 1? This choice is personal, we leave it to the riders, but it is always nice to see the number 1 because it identifies the champion’s bike. Bagnaia is torn, because he is fond of his 63: “Pecco63″ is a sticker I also have on my car, but with a number 1. Maybe his graphics will come up with something special.” Will he be pleased?

Francesco, aka ‘Pecco,’ Bagnaia after winning the Moto2 world championship in 2018 with Sky Racing Team VR46, will make his MotoGp debut in 2019 riding the Ducati of Team Pramac Racing. In September 2020, he scores his first podium in the top MotoGP category in Misano.

The following year he switched to the factory Ducati team and finished the championship in second place, behind French Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo. This year, finally, comes the World Championship victory at the end of a great comeback.
