Giulio Donati gained Palladino’s confidence.

Monza defender Giulio Donati spoke exclusively to the microphones of the Estenews agency, in collaboration with CartaCanta, focusing on the first part of the championship and the resumption of Serie A as he returns from the World Cup in Qatar.

“Will values change after the long break? For sure it is a very long stop however I think every team is equipped to do a good preparation and recall and we will all start again very strong. It will be a separate tournament where this first part has given some bonuses at the level of points to some and a little less to others however there will be an intense championship until June,” explained the 1990 class.

Donati then gave an assessment of coach Raffaele Palladino: “What has Palladino given? Very clear ideas and an important moral contribution. Winning helps to win, having made a string of results the environment is also positive. With the coach we worked a lot, we felt good physically, with the legs always reactive and ready to give that extra something that can then lead to the final results.”

On Jan. 7, 2023, the Brianza team will play against Inter, where Donati grew up: “Crossing paths with some people and friends who may have been players before and are now in management is always nice. I had a past at Inter in the youth ranks, however, some have stayed and it will certainly be nice to come back and play against them.”

“The experience in the Bundesliga? Important adventure. It is a different soccer with different demands. You train and practice other types of play that you then bring into your personal baggage and you can use them in your favor, perhaps, in Italy where different soccer is played,” the defender then continued, talking about his experiences at Bayer Leverkusen from 2013 to 2016 and Mainz, from 2016 to 2019.
