Cristiano Ronaldo, comes the harsh retort of Erik Ten Hag
After the shock interview, comes the rebuttal.
Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken out about his frustrations at Manchester United, and now the Red Devils coach’s response has arrived. Erik Ten Hag broke his silence at an event organized by the ‘Manchester Evening News,’ adding a new chapter to the epic that pits him against CR7.
“After that interview I think it was quite clear that Cristiano Ronaldo had to leave the club,” Ten Hag said. “A team can only be successful when everyone sorts each other out. His words were impossible for a club like Manchester United to accept. And he was aware of the consequences that would come.”
“I have no problem talking to him. When he is fit, Cristiano Ronaldo remains a good footballer and can make a great contribution to the team. With us, however, that has not been the case. His story is immense, and I wanted to make him part of the project. Now we just have to look ahead and think about the future of the team.”
