Sofia Goggia: “I missed everything, what a struggle.”
The skier from Bergamo spoke after the giant slalom at Sestriere
Sofia Goggia made a bitter comment on her performance in Saturday’s giant slalom at Sestriere: the Bergamo-born skier finished in the back of the pack, without scoring any points, and she seemed very disgruntled after the race, which was won by compatriot Marta Bassino.
“It was not the ideal race for the comeback. I struggled a lot, I completed it but I knew I was late. I still don’t have the automatisms of the giant slalom, given also the little specific training. As much as I have perfect cognition of what my skis do in the downhill, how much I miss this in the giant. Appointment in St. Moritz,” he told Fisi channels.
