Italy-Brazil double challenge in semifinals
Perugia and Trento passed the first phase of the Club World Cup, being held in Betim, Brazil, in first place in their respective groups.
On the final day of Group A, in fact, the Umbrians got the better of Sada Cruzeiro Volleyball 3-1 (25-21, 25-21, 29-31, 25-31), while Trentino Volleyball overcame Itambé Minas 3 sets to zero (25-21, 25-23, 25-18) in Group B.
Coincidentally, the two Brazilian teams defeated on the night finished second: Sada Cruzeiro will play Trento in the semifinals, while Itambé Minas will be Perugia’s opponent. Semifinals late in the Italian evening on Saturday, finals 24 hours later.
