Among the heroes of Morocco’s elimination of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal is surely Jawad El Yamiq, author of a great test on Saturday. At the microphones of TMW his agent Andrea D’Amico spoke thus, “His goal is to try to win the World Cup. That’s all he thinks about. He is a great player, after the game we hugged each other, he was crying. Morocco believes in this dream.”
The defender also moved on to Genoa without, however, leaving any particular trace: “He was underestimated. The only one who believed in him was Giorgio Perinetti, who took him to Genoa. But I would say he was underestimated by the coach, I do not understand why Ballardini did not consider him. From Italy he hasn’t called anyone yet. But it is obvious that this season of his raises the price: he is playing very well. The World Cup enhances everyone’s price tag, Jawad played against Cristiano Ronaldo and didn’t let him touch the ball.”
