Outrage rises on social media over the French striker’s exultation, deemed by many to be excessive
Kylian Mbappé’s boisterous laughter after Harry Kane’s mistake from the penalty spot in the second half of the World Cup quarterfinal between England and France has gone around the world.
With the score 2-1 for the Bleus, the English bomber, who had already scored on a penalty kick in the first half, had a golden chance to balance the score, but he squandered it by kicking the penalty into the stars.
On social media, images of Mbappé, who after his colleague’s mistake burst into wild jubilation and boisterous laughter, are generating controversy, which has angered many English and non-English fans on social media.
