Barrichello wins another title and bursts into tears

Former Ferrari driver triumphs at 50 in Brazilian Stock Car championship.

More satisfaction for Rubens Barrichello, at the age of 50. The former Ferrari driver, who said goodbye to Formula 1 in 2011, won the Brazilian Stock Car championship for the second time, having already won it in 2014.

Rubinho managed to repeat the success at Interlagos, at the wheel of a Toyota of the Full Time Sports team: after the triumph he burst into tears, just like in the old days in Formula 1. “This is the happiest day of my life I feel enormous gratitude. I thank Interlagos, the love of my life. Interlagos has given me something I have been waiting for a long time. It couldn’t not be like this, with the people I love and who are by my side,” he said after the race.
