Danilo Gallinari continues recovery from serious injury

Danilo Gallinari, with ‘Sky Sport,’ spoke among other things about his recovery plan from the serious injury he suffered in the Italy jersey during one of the Eurobasket preparation matches. The goal, he himself admits, is to give himself at least a chance to play in the playoffs with his Boston Celtics.

“The recovery is going very well, I am happy,” said the ‘Rooster,’ whose last appearance on North American parquet was last season, wearing the Atlanta Hawks uniform. “We are going faster than we expected: it is true, in these situations it is difficult to make long-term plans, but we want to try to evaluate my condition day by day.

“I admit it’s hard to say now if I will be able to be on the court for the playoffs,” Gallinari added. “I hope so, it’s clear, the team is strong and there is a good group: that’s why playing the postseason would be better than seeing it from the outside. But we’ll see, let’s keep working.”
