Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Sportmediaset confirmed that the day of his return to the field is not yet here but it is nevertheless closep: “I am following my recovery protocol and every day that passes I improve. Milan misses Ibra and Ibra misses the team. Being on the field is a whole different thing: the adrenaline, the crowd, the smell of the grass, the duels, feeling alive inside the field…. That’s what I miss.”

“When you stop it is impossible to find all those feelings elsewhere, which as I have said many times are also hard to explain. When I had surgery, however, I thought that the return would be even more satisfying and even better. For now, so all that is needed is patience.”

“The challenge is always to do more, I am never satisfied,” he concluded to Sportmediaset. “Obviously everything is different than it used to be. Ten years ago my ego was bigger than everything, today with experience, age and maturity things are different. When I came back to Milan I was the oldest of all, I did not come to learn, but to give. To improve the team in the collective and in individuality.”
